Gutu MDC-T councillor snubs Chief Makore

GUTU – Jeffrey Tangemhare the only MDC T councillor in Gutu District has refused to attend a meeting with Chief Makore who wanted him to explain why Morgan Tsvangirai held a meeting in the area without the traditional leader's blessings.
Tangemhare who is the councillor for Ward 27 was instructed to come to the Chief's Court on Wednesday last week and this was after Tsvangirai held a rally in the area the previous Saturday.
Tangemhare confirmed the development and told The Mirror that he refused to attend the Chief's meeting because it served no purpose as he had informed the chief of Tsvangirai's rally before it took place.
Jestia Muzenda who is acting Chief Makore confirmed to The Mirror that Tangemhare did not come for the meeting which he called.
Tsvangirai held a successful rally at Mang'a  Business Centre in Gutu South on April 23, 2016 and Chief Makore called a meeting of all kraalheads three days later where he fumed over the rally and ordered that all those who involve themselves in MDC T activities be punished.
"I informed the Chief. He was aware about the rally and there was therefore no reason for me to see him," said Tangemhare.
"I summoned Tangemhare for a meeting but he didn't turn up," said Chief Makore.
